Surface Transportation Board Chairman Roger Nober has announced that the
public hearing in the proceeding entitled Rail Rate Challenges Under the
Stand-Alone Cost Methodology, STB Ex Parte No. 657, which was originally
scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 24, 2005, has been rescheduled for
10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2005.


The STB postponed the March 24 public hearing, in a decision issued to the
public on March 14, 2005, in Ex Parte No. 657, in response to a request for
an extension of the schedule.  That decision is available for viewing and
downloading via the agency's Web site at http://www.stb.dot.gov.  A printed
copy of the Board's decision also is available for a fee by contacting ASAP
