-----------------------------***----------------------------- >From the Surface Transportation Board, Washington, D.C. -----------------------------***----------------------------- Surface Transportation Board Chairman Roger Nober today announced that the agency will hold a September 29, 2004 oral argument concerning the railroad rate-complaint case entitled Arizona Public Service Company & PacifiCorp v. The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway Company, Docket No. 41185. The STB will hold the oral argument at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2004, in Room 760, the agency's hearing room, on the 7th Floor of the agency's headquarters in the Mercury Building, 1925 K Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. At issue are the maximum reasonable rates that "Burlington Northern" may charge for the transportation of coal from the Pittsburgh & Midway Coal Mining Company's McKinley Mine, northeast of Gallup, New Mexico, to an electric-generating plant near Joseph City, Arizona, owned by "Arizona Public Service" and PacifiCorp, the complainants in this case. The STB announced its scheduling of the oral argument in its decision issued September 9, 2004 in Docket 41185.
