authority, which the STB's predecessor, the former Interstate Commerce
Commission ("ICC"), had originally granted in 1974, extended in 1989, and
extended again in 1994.  Unless further extended, TTX's current pooling
authority under the ICC's 1994 order is due to expire on October 1,
2004.  The July 7 oral argument will allow the parties involved in this
case to present their positions and to respond to agency questions in a
public forum.
