Surface Transportation Board Chairman Roger Nober today announced the
matters and cases to be addressed at the STB's open voting conference to
begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in Room 760, the agency's
hearing room, on the 7th Floor of the agency's headquarters in the Mercury
Building, 1925 K Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.

At the conference, the STB will introduce its two new Commissioners; elect
a Vice Chairman; announce its agenda for the months of July and August; and
its Members will discuss publicly among themselves, and vote on, the cases
listed below.

THE CONFERENCE ITEMS ARE:

-Buckingham Branch Railroad Company-Lease-CSX Transportation, Inc., STB
Finance Docket No. 34495.

-Railroad Cost of Capital-2003, STB Ex Parte No. 558 (Sub-No. 7).

-Morristown & Erie Railway, Inc.-Modified Rail Certificate, STB Finance
Docket No. 34054.

-Central Michigan Railway Company-Abandonment Exemption-In Saginaw County,
MN, STB Docket No. AB-308 (Sub-No. 3X).

-Union Pacific Railroad Company-Abandonment Exemption-In Rio Grande and
Mineral Counties, CO, STB Docket No. AB-33 (Sub-No. 132X).

-City of Venice-Abandonment Exemption-In Venice, IL and St. Louis, MO, STB
Docket No. AB-863X.
