      Surface Transportation Board Chairman Roger Nober today announced the
introduction of the Boardâs newly redesigned and upgraded Web site. The
redesigned site was launched after a lengthy project to upgrade and
modernize Boardâs existing website.

      In introducing the redesigned Web site, Chairman Nober said:

      âI am pleased to announce that our newly redesigned Web site has come
online, and encourage our stakeholders to explore its offerings. I
directed that the Board undertake this effort after I heard from numerous
stakeholders that our existing site was difficult to use and outdated.
One of my top priorities has been to make more agency information available
to the public in an understandable and user-friendly format, and this
redesigned Web site is a major step in that direction."

      The websiteâs new features include:
q     Significantly improved capability to search documents on file;
q âE-filingâ, or the ability for parties to make Board filings
electronically;
q     Live and archived streaming audio of all Board proceedings;
q Upgraded, more understandable layout and design; and
q     Service lists available electronically.
