With commit 9df62f054406 "arch: use ASM_NL instead of ';'" the generic
macros can handle the arch specific newline quirk. Hence we can get rid
of ARC asm macros and use the "C" style macros.

Hi Jiri,

AFAIKR, this was not requested for 3.12 since the pre-requisite (mainline 9df62f05440 referenced above) was never marked for stable. So please don't apply it.

FWIW, I tried applying this patch and get a conflict - did u have to do a manual fixup as well.
