The patch titled Subject: selftests: mm: fix map_hugetlb failure on 64K page size systems has been added to the -mm mm-hotfixes-unstable branch. Its filename is selftests-mm-fix-map_hugetlb-failure-on-64k-page-size-systems.patch This patch will shortly appear at https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/25-new.git/tree/patches/selftests-mm-fix-map_hugetlb-failure-on-64k-page-size-systems.patch This patch will later appear in the mm-hotfixes-unstable branch at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/process/submit-checklist.rst when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next via the mm-everything branch at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/akpm/mm and is updated there every 2-3 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Nico Pache <npache@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: selftests: mm: fix map_hugetlb failure on 64K page size systems Date: Fri, 19 Jan 2024 06:14:29 -0700 On systems with 64k page size and 512M huge page sizes, the allocation and test succeeds but errors out at the munmap. As the comment states, munmap will failure if its not HUGEPAGE aligned. This is due to the length of the mapping being 1/2 the size of the hugepage causing the munmap to not be hugepage aligned. Fix this by making the mapping length the full hugepage if the hugepage is larger than the length of the mapping.
