This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled Revert "usb: gadget: f_uvc: change endpoint allocation in to my usb git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git in the usb-testing branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will be merged to the usb-next branch sometime soon, after it passes testing, and the merge window is open. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 895ee5aefb7e24203de5dffae7ce9a02d78fa3d1 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Frank Li <Frank.Li@xxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 24 Dec 2023 10:38:16 -0500 Subject: Revert "usb: gadget: f_uvc: change endpoint allocation in uvc_function_bind()" This reverts commit 3c5b006f3ee800b4bd9ed37b3a8f271b8560126e. gadget_is_{super|dual}speed() API check UDC controller capitblity. It should pass down highest speed endpoint descriptor to UDC controller. So UDC controller driver can reserve enough resource at check_config(), especially mult and maxburst. So UDC driver (such as cdns3) can know need at least (mult + 1) * (maxburst + 1) * wMaxPacketSize internal memory for this uvc functions.
