[PATCH 6.6 430/603] perf parse-events: Fix tracepoint name memory leak

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

6.6-stable review patch. If anyone has any objections, please let me know.

------------------

From: Ian Rogers <irogers@xxxxxxxxxx>

[ Upstream commit ede72dca45b1893f3e9236b6ad6c4e790db232f6 ]

Fuzzing found that an invalid tracepoint name would create a memory
leak with an address sanitizer build:
```
$ perf stat -e '*:o/' true
event syntax error: '*:o/'
                       \___ parser error
Run 'perf list' for a list of valid events
 Usage: perf stat [<options>] [<command>]
    -e, --event <event>   event selector. use 'perf list' to list available events
