You've marked it as a dependency of another patch which is doing the refactoring in a specific driver which obviously shouldn't be being backported either. To repeat what I said the other day in response to the other wildly inappropriate backports (one was an entirely new driver...) I thought that there was supposed to be some manual review of the patches being included in stable prior to them being sent out. How on earth are things like this getting as far as being even proposed for stable?
