This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled drivers/net, ipv6: Select IPv6 fragment idents for virtio UFO packets to the 3.17-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: drivers-net-ipv6-select-ipv6-fragment-idents-for-virtio-ufo-packets.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.17 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From foo@baz Fri Nov 7 11:36:50 PST 2014 From: Ben Hutchings <ben@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 30 Oct 2014 18:27:17 +0000 Subject: drivers/net, ipv6: Select IPv6 fragment idents for virtio UFO packets From: Ben Hutchings <ben@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> [ Upstream commit 5188cd44c55db3e92cd9e77a40b5baa7ed4340f7 ] UFO is now disabled on all drivers that work with virtio net headers, but userland may try to send UFO/IPv6 packets anyway. Instead of sending with ID=0, we should select identifiers on their behalf (as we used to).
