This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled iio: as3935: allocate correct iio_device size to my staging git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git in the staging-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From f73cde600d410ad4b31362a9c348016e40a146ea Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: George McCollister <george.mccollister@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 31 Oct 2014 15:44:00 +0000 Subject: iio: as3935: allocate correct iio_device size Signed-off-by: George McCollister <george.mccollister@xxxxxxxxx> Acked-by: Hartmut Knaack <knaack.h@xxxxxx> Cc: <Stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Signed-off-by: Jonathan Cameron <jic23@xxxxxxxxxx> --- drivers/iio/proximity/as3935.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/drivers/iio/proximity/as3935.c b/drivers/iio/proximity/as3935.c index 5e780ef206f3..8349cc0fdf66 100644 --- a/drivers/iio/proximity/as3935.c +++ b/drivers/iio/proximity/as3935.c @@ -330,7 +330,7 @@ static int as3935_probe(struct spi_device *spi) return -EINVAL; } - indio_dev = devm_iio_device_alloc(&spi->dev, sizeof(st)); + indio_dev = devm_iio_device_alloc(&spi->dev, sizeof(*st)); if (!indio_dev) return -ENOMEM; -- 2.1.3 -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe stable" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
