Hi Greg and Zefan: upstream commit 7ba3ec5749ddb61f79f7be17b5fd7720eebc52de: ext2: Fix fs corruption in ext2_get_xip_mem() looks applicable for 3.10 and 3.4. On 3.10, without this patch we can easily trigger a bug using: # mkfs.ext2 -b 4096 /dev/ram1 # mount -t ext2 -o xip /dev/ram1 /mnt # cp /bin/ls /mnt cp: error writing '/mnt/ls': No space left on device cp: failed to extend '/mnt/ls': No space left on device On 3.4, no such error report, but in this case an extra block is allocated.
