This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled dma: mv_xor: Flush descriptors before activating a channel to the 3.14-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: dma-mv_xor-flush-descriptors-before-activating-a-channel.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.14 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 5a9a55bf9157d3490b0c8c4c81d4708602c26e07 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Ezequiel Garcia <ezequiel.garcia@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 21 May 2014 14:02:35 -0700 Subject: dma: mv_xor: Flush descriptors before activating a channel From: Ezequiel Garcia <ezequiel.garcia@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> commit 5a9a55bf9157d3490b0c8c4c81d4708602c26e07 upstream. We need to use writel() instead of writel_relaxed() when starting a channel, to ensure all the descriptors have been flushed before the activation. While at it, remove the unneeded read-modify-write and make the code simpler.
