This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled uio_hv_generic: Fix another memory leak in error handling paths to my char-misc git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/char-misc.git in the char-misc-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 0b0226be3a52dadd965644bc52a807961c2c26df Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sun, 9 May 2021 09:13:12 +0200 Subject: uio_hv_generic: Fix another memory leak in error handling paths Memory allocated by 'vmbus_alloc_ring()' at the beginning of the probe function is never freed in the error handling path. Add the missing 'vmbus_free_ring()' call. Note that it is already freed in the .remove function.
