The fix for both the crash and the warning is commit 062b3e1b6d4f ("net/ncsi: Refactor MAC, VLAN filters"). Unfortunately, that commit does not apply on its own. The following sequence of commits on top of v4.14.y fixes the problem for me. 5a6d80034471 net/ncsi: Make local function ncsi_get_filter() static 9ef8690be13d net/ncsi: Improve general state logging 04bad8bda9e2 net/ncsi: Don't return error on normal response 955dc68cb9b2 net/ncsi: Add generic netlink family 062b3e1b6d4f net/ncsi: Refactor MAC, VLAN filters Guenter
