Its filename is mmwriteback-fix-divide-by-zero-in-pos_ratio_polynom.patch This patch should soon appear at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmots/broken-out/mmwriteback-fix-divide-by-zero-in-pos_ratio_polynom.patch and later at http://ozlabs.org/~akpm/mmotm/broken-out/mmwriteback-fix-divide-by-zero-in-pos_ratio_polynom.patch Before you just go and hit "reply", please: a) Consider who else should be cc'ed b) Prefer to cc a suitable mailing list as well c) Ideally: find the original patch on the mailing list and do a reply-to-all to that, adding suitable additional cc's *** Remember to use Documentation/SubmitChecklist when testing your code *** The -mm tree is included into linux-next and is updated there every 3-4 working days ------------------------------------------------------ From: Rik van Riel <riel@xxxxxxxxxx> Subject: mm/page-writeback.c: fix divide by zero in pos_ratio_polynom It is possible for "limit - setpoint + 1" to equal zero, after getting truncated to a 32 bit variable, and resulting in a divide by zero error. Using the fully 64 bit divide functions avoids this problem. It also will cause pos_ratio_polynom() to return the correct value when (setpoint - limit) exceeds 2^32. Also uninline pos_ratio_polynom, at Andrew's request.
