This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled staging: vt6656: Don't set RCR_MULTICAST or RCR_BROADCAST by default. to my staging git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git in the staging-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 0f8240bfc070033a4823b19883efd3d38c7735cc Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Malcolm Priestley <tvboxspy@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat, 18 Apr 2020 17:24:50 +0100 Subject: staging: vt6656: Don't set RCR_MULTICAST or RCR_BROADCAST by default. mac80211/users control whether multicast is on or off don't enable it by default. Fixes an issue when multicast/broadcast is always on allowing other beacons through in power save. Fixes: db8f37fa3355 ("staging: vt6656: mac80211 conversion: main_usb add functions...")
