This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled staging: wlan-ng: ensure error return is actually returned to my staging git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git in the staging-testing branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will be merged to the staging-next branch sometime soon, after it passes testing, and the merge window is open. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 4cc41cbce536876678b35e03c4a8a7bb72c78fa9 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Colin Ian King <colin.king@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 14 Jan 2020 18:16:04 +0000 Subject: staging: wlan-ng: ensure error return is actually returned Currently when the call to prism2sta_ifst fails a netdev_err error is reported, error return variable result is set to -1 but the function always returns 0 for success. Fix this by returning the error value in variable result rather than 0.
