This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled driver core: Fix test_async_driver_probe if NUMA is disabled to my driver-core git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core.git in the driver-core-testing branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will be merged to the driver-core-next branch sometime soon, after it passes testing, and the merge window is open. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 264d25275a46fce5da501874fa48a2ae5ec571c8 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Guenter Roeck <linux@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 27 Nov 2019 12:24:53 -0800 Subject: driver core: Fix test_async_driver_probe if NUMA is disabled Since commit 57ea974fb871 ("driver core: Rewrite test_async_driver_probe to cover serialization and NUMA affinity"), running the test with NUMA disabled results in warning messages similar to the following. test_async_driver test_async_driver.12: NUMA node mismatch -1 != 0 If CONFIG_NUMA=n, dev_to_node(dev) returns -1, and numa_node_id() returns 0. Both are widely used, so it appears risky to change return values. Augment the check with IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_NUMA) instead to fix the problem.
