The patch below does not apply to the 3.10-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit

Subject: [PATCH] mei: use hbm idle state to prevent spurious resets

When reset is caused by hbm protocol mismatch or timeout
we might end up in an endless reset loop and hbm protocol
will never sync
