This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled Btrfs: do not run snapshot-aware defragment on error to the 3.12-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: btrfs-do-not-run-snapshot-aware-defragment-on-error.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.12 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 6f519564d7d978c00351d9ab6abac3deeac31621 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Liu Bo <bo.li.liu@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2013 10:45:05 +0800 Subject: Btrfs: do not run snapshot-aware defragment on error From: Liu Bo <bo.li.liu@xxxxxxxxxx> commit 6f519564d7d978c00351d9ab6abac3deeac31621 upstream. If something wrong happens in write endio, running snapshot-aware defragment can end up with undefined results, maybe a crash, so we should avoid it. In order to share similar code, this also adds a helper to free the struct for snapshot-aware defrag.
