The patch below does not apply to the 4.9-stable tree.
If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm
tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit

Subject: [PATCH] nfit: acpi_nfit_ctl(): Check out_obj->type in the right place

In the case of ND_CMD_CALL, we should also check out_obj->type.

The patch uses out_obj->type, which is a short alias to
out_obj->package.type.
