This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled gpio: mvebu: make mvchip->irqbase signed for error handling to the 3.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: gpio-mvebu-make-mvchip-irqbase-signed-for-error-handling.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From d535922691fc026479fcc03e78ac3d931a54e75a Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 7 Nov 2013 10:50:19 +0300 Subject: gpio: mvebu: make mvchip->irqbase signed for error handling From: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@xxxxxxxxxx> commit d535922691fc026479fcc03e78ac3d931a54e75a upstream. There is a bug in mvebu_gpio_probe() where we do: mvchip->irqbase = irq_alloc_descs(-1, 0, ngpios, -1); if (mvchip->irqbase < 0) { The problem is that mvchip->irqbase is unsigned so the error handling doesn't work. I have changed it to be a regular int.
