This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled usb: usbip: Fix BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in vhci_hub_control() to my usb git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/usb.git in the usb-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 81f7567c51ad97668d1c3a48e8ecc482e64d4161 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: "Shuah Khan (Samsung OSG)" <shuah@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 5 Oct 2018 16:17:44 -0600 Subject: usb: usbip: Fix BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in vhci_hub_control() vhci_hub_control() accesses port_status array with out of bounds port value. Fix it to reference port_status[] only with a valid rhport value when invalid_rhport flag is true. The invalid_rhport flag is set early on after detecting in port value is within the bounds or not.
