This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ipv6: fill rt6i_gateway with nexthop address to the 3.11-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: ipv6-fill-rt6i_gateway-with-nexthop-address.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.11 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 471dd605429d6645f990becd29c877740d3b32e7 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Julian Anastasov <ja@xxxxxx> Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2013 15:43:04 +0300 Subject: ipv6: fill rt6i_gateway with nexthop address From: Julian Anastasov <ja@xxxxxx> [ Upstream commit 550bab42f83308c9d6ab04a980cc4333cef1c8fa ] Make sure rt6i_gateway contains nexthop information in all routes returned from lookup or when routes are directly attached to skb for generated ICMP packets. The effect of this patch should be a faster version of rt6_nexthop() and the consideration of local addresses as nexthop.
