Russell fixed it in dd39a26538e3 ("scripts: recordmcount: break hardlinks") Greg, can you add this to 3.18.y? For some reason, it made it into 3.2 and 3.16 stable kernels, but not 3.16 and 4.1. 4.4 contains the original upstream fix. Arnd
