This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled crypto: aesni - add wrapper for generic gcm(aes) to the 4.14-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: crypto-aesni-add-wrapper-for-generic-gcm-aes.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.14 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From fc8517bf627c9b834f80274a1bc9ecd39b27231b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Sabrina Dubroca <sd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 13 Dec 2017 14:54:36 +0100 Subject: crypto: aesni - add wrapper for generic gcm(aes) From: Sabrina Dubroca <sd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> commit fc8517bf627c9b834f80274a1bc9ecd39b27231b upstream. When I added generic-gcm-aes I didn't add a wrapper like the one provided for rfc4106(gcm(aes)). We need to add a cryptd wrapper to fall back on in case the FPU is not available, otherwise we might corrupt the FPU state.
