4.14 follows Linus's tree almost identically.

4.4 and 4.9 should be identical as well, they come from the work of Hugh
from Google and lots of cleanups on top of that from the SUSE
developers.

What are those git commit ids?  And are they really relevant for 4.9?

So have you tested the backports?  Can you provide a copy of them?
