This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled tcp: tcp_make_synack() should use sock_wmalloc to the 3.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: tcp-tcp_make_synack-should-use-sock_wmalloc.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From aa038fcce1e8a0940cff6251696b1384b7635951 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Phil Oester <kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 27 Aug 2013 16:41:40 -0700 Subject: tcp: tcp_make_synack() should use sock_wmalloc From: Phil Oester <kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxx> [ Upstream commit eb8895debe1baba41fcb62c78a16f0c63c21662a ] In commit 90ba9b19 (tcp: tcp_make_synack() can use alloc_skb()), Eric changed the call to sock_wmalloc in tcp_make_synack to alloc_skb. In doing so, the netfilter owner match lost its ability to block the SYNACK packet on outbound listening sockets. Revert the change, restoring the owner match functionality. This closes netfilter bugzilla #847. Signed-off-by: Phil Oester <kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Signed-off-by: David S.
