Yes, you have to do so, please read
Documentation/stable_kernel_rules.txt for the details.  I can't accept
patches that are not in Linus's tree.

Ok, I'll wait for them to hit Linus's tree, but a short email letting me
know that they are there would be appreciated if I miss them.
