This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled IPv4: early demux can return an error code to the 4.13-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: ipv4-early-demux-can-return-an-error-code.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.13 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From foo@baz Mon Oct 9 09:32:35 CEST 2017 From: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 28 Sep 2017 15:51:36 +0200 Subject: IPv4: early demux can return an error code From: Paolo Abeni <pabeni@xxxxxxxxxx> [ Upstream commit 7487449c86c65202b3b725c4524cb48dd65e4e6f ] Currently no error is emitted, but this infrastructure will used by the next patch to allow source address validation for mcast sockets. Since early demux can do a route lookup and an ipv4 route lookup can return an error code this is consistent with the current ipv4 route infrastructure.
