This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled mtd: nand: add ooblayout for old hamming layout to the 4.11-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: mtd-nand-add-ooblayout-for-old-hamming-layout.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.11 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 6a623e07694437ad09f382a13f76cffc32239a7f Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Alexander Couzens <lynxis@xxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 2 May 2017 12:19:00 +0200 Subject: mtd: nand: add ooblayout for old hamming layout From: Alexander Couzens <lynxis@xxxxxxx> commit 6a623e07694437ad09f382a13f76cffc32239a7f upstream. The old 1-bit hamming layout requires ECC data to be placed at a fixed offset, and not necessarily at the end of the OOB area. Add this old layout back in order to fix legacy setups.
