This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled serial: omap: suspend device on probe errors to my tty git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/tty.git in the tty-testing branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will be merged to the tty-next branch sometime soon, after it passes testing, and the merge window is open. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 77e6fe7fd2b7cba0bf2f2dc8cde51d7b9a35bf74 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Johan Hovold <johan@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2017 11:21:39 +0200 Subject: serial: omap: suspend device on probe errors Make sure to actually suspend the device before returning after a failed (or deferred) probe. Note that autosuspend must be disabled before runtime pm is disabled in order to balance the usage count due to a negative autosuspend delay as well as to make the final put suspend the device synchronously.
