This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled hv: allocate synic pages for all present CPUs to the 4.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: hv-allocate-synic-pages-for-all-present-cpus.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 421b8f20d3c381b215f988b42428f56fc3b82405 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Vitaly Kuznetsov <vkuznets@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 7 Dec 2016 01:16:25 -0800 Subject: hv: allocate synic pages for all present CPUs From: Vitaly Kuznetsov <vkuznets@xxxxxxxxxx> commit 421b8f20d3c381b215f988b42428f56fc3b82405 upstream. It may happen that not all CPUs are online when we do hv_synic_alloc() and in case more CPUs come online later we may try accessing these allocated structures.
