This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ipv6: only apply anti-spoofing checks to not-pointopoint tunnels to the 3.10-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: ipv6-only-apply-anti-spoofing-checks-to-not-pointopoint-tunnels.patch and it can be found in the queue-3.10 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 79339ba50702248d19a8825906ceb527d547444f Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 27 Jun 2013 22:46:04 +0200 Subject: ipv6: only apply anti-spoofing checks to not-pointopoint tunnels From: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> [ Upstream commit 5c29fb12e8fb8a8105ea048cb160fd79a85a52bb ] Because of commit 218774dc341f219bfcf940304a081b121a0e8099 ("ipv6: add anti-spoofing checks for 6to4 and 6rd") the sit driver dropped packets for 2002::/16 destinations and sources even when configured to work as a tunnel with fixed endpoint. We may only apply the 6rd/6to4 anti-spoofing checks if the device is not in pointopoint mode. This was an oversight from me in the above commit, sorry. Thanks to Roman Mamedov for reporting this!
