This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled tty: serial: msm: Fix module autoload to my tty git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/tty.git in the tty-next branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release during the merge window. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From abe81f3b8ed2996e1712d26d38ff6b73f582c616 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Javier Martinez Canillas <javier@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 2 Jan 2017 11:57:20 -0300 Subject: tty: serial: msm: Fix module autoload If the driver is built as a module, autoload won't work because the module alias information is not filled. So user-space can't match the registered device with the corresponding module. Export the module alias information using the MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() macro.
