This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled hv: allocate synic pages for all present CPUs to my char-misc git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/char-misc.git in the char-misc-next branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will also be merged in the next major kernel release during the merge window. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 421b8f20d3c381b215f988b42428f56fc3b82405 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Vitaly Kuznetsov <vkuznets@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 7 Dec 2016 01:16:25 -0800 Subject: hv: allocate synic pages for all present CPUs It may happen that not all CPUs are online when we do hv_synic_alloc() and in case more CPUs come online later we may try accessing these allocated structures.
