This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled crypto: caam - fix non-hmac hashes to the 4.7-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: crypto-caam-fix-non-hmac-hashes.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.7 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From a0118c8b2be9297aed8e915c60b4013326b256d4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Russell King <rmk+kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 9 Aug 2016 08:27:17 +0100 Subject: crypto: caam - fix non-hmac hashes From: Russell King <rmk+kernel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> commit a0118c8b2be9297aed8e915c60b4013326b256d4 upstream. Since 6de62f15b581 ("crypto: algif_hash - Require setkey before accept(2)"), the AF_ALG interface requires userspace to provide a key to any algorithm that has a setkey method. However, the non-HMAC algorithms are not keyed, so setting a key is unnecessary. Fix this by removing the setkey method from the non-keyed hash algorithms.
