This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled iommu/amd: Init unity mappings only for dma_ops domains to the 4.4-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: iommu-amd-init-unity-mappings-only-for-dma_ops-domains.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.4 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From b548e786ce47017107765bbeb0f100202525ea83 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@xxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 13 Jul 2016 12:35:24 +0200 Subject: iommu/amd: Init unity mappings only for dma_ops domains From: Joerg Roedel <jroedel@xxxxxxx> commit b548e786ce47017107765bbeb0f100202525ea83 upstream. The default domain for a device might also be identity-mapped. In this case the kernel would crash when unity mappings are defined for the device. Fix that by making sure the domain is a dma_ops domain.
