This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled udp: prevent skbs lingering in tunnel socket queues to the 4.6-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: udp-prevent-skbs-lingering-in-tunnel-socket-queues.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.6 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From foo@baz Fri Jun 17 08:34:39 PDT 2016 From: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 19 May 2016 15:58:33 +0200 Subject: udp: prevent skbs lingering in tunnel socket queues From: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> [ Upstream commit e5aed006be918af163eb397e45aa5ea6cefd5e01 ] In case we find a socket with encapsulation enabled we should call the encap_recv function even if just a udp header without payload is available. The callbacks are responsible for correctly verifying and dropping the packets. Also, in case the header validation fails for geneve and vxlan we shouldn't put the skb back into the socket queue, no one will pick them up there. Instead we can simply discard them in the respective encap_recv functions. Signed-off-by: Hannes Frederic Sowa <hannes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Signed-off-by: David S.
