The patch below does not apply to the 4.5-stable tree. If someone wants it applied there, or to any other stable or longterm tree, then please email the backport, including the original git commit id to <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>. thanks, greg k-h ------------------ original commit in Linus's tree ------------------ >From 7f0c5ae18d649ed2f4978cbf07c02a0ff732f23e Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Andy Shevchenko <andriy.shevchenko@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 19 Feb 2016 10:42:10 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] mfd: intel_quark_i2c_gpio: Remove clock tree on error path There is a potential resource leak in case when ->probe() fails. We have to unregister and remove clock tree which is done here. This is a follow up to previously pushed commit c4726abce63b ("mfd: intel_quark_i2c_gpio: Use clkdev_create()") that prevents double free() when clkdev_drop() followed by kfree() in devm_kcalloc() release stage. I leave Fixes tag here, but the backporting will require to backport the commit c4726abce63b ("mfd: intel_quark_i2c_gpio: Use clkdev_create()") first.
