If I'm parsing Tony's followup on "Re: probably missing patch to stable?" [1]
regarding the above commit, I think we also need to apply commit:

464ad8c usb: core : hub: Fix BOS 'NULL pointer' kernel panic

to resolve the original problem which "usb: hub: do not clear BOS field during
reset device" was attempting to fix?

I notice that commit 464ad8c is included in other stable branches along with
the above reverted commit but I do not see it in linux-3.14.y. Based on what
I'm reading, it appears it's needed for linux-3.14.y.
