[patch added to 3.12-stable] ppp: take reference on channels netns

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

From: Guillaume Nault <g.nault@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

This patch has been added to the 3.12 stable tree. If you have any
objections, please let us know.

===============

[ Upstream commit 1f461dcdd296eecedaffffc6bae2bfa90bd7eb89 ]

Let channels hold a reference on their network namespace.
Some channel types, like ppp_async and ppp_synctty, can have their
userspace controller running in a different namespace. Therefore they
can't rely on them to preclude their netns from being removed from
under them.
