I think commits

ea3d7209ca01da209cda6f0dea8be9cc4b7a933b

011278485ecc3cd2a3954b5d4c73101d919bf1fa

should be backported to stable kernels since they fix nasty data corruption
races in ext4. They are in ext4 since punch hole support was introduced
(which was before 3.0, I didn't care to track it further back).
