Thanks Guenter. I'll pull both of these out of 3.18 and 4.1 until we can get a proper
backport since it doesn't seem trivial.

Hi Sasha,

the ppc error is now gone, as is the gpio error. 3.18 builds still fail due to the rs485 error, though.
