This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled iio: si7020: Swap data byte order to my staging git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git in the staging-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 0d2f6fd3ffd5e7a447233a57112246bc00064752 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Chris Lesiak <chris.lesiak@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Mon, 2 Nov 2015 15:45:03 -0600 Subject: iio: si7020: Swap data byte order The Silicon Labs Si7013, Si7020, and Si7021 family of I2C humidity and temperature sensors deliver 16 bit data high byte first. See the datasheet available at: https://www.silabs.com/Support%20Documents%2fTechnicalDocs%2fSi7020-A20.pdf But as documented in Documentation/i2c/smbus-protocol, i2c_smbus_read_word_data() expects the low byte first. Change the driver to use i2c_smbus_read_word_swapped to get correct byte order.
