This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled ARM: 8401/1: perf: Set affinity for PPI based PMUs to the 4.2-stable tree which can be found at: http://www.kernel.org/git/?p=linux/kernel/git/stable/stable-queue.git;a=summary The filename of the patch is: arm-8401-1-perf-set-affinity-for-ppi-based-pmus.patch and it can be found in the queue-4.2 subdirectory. If you, or anyone else, feels it should not be added to the stable tree, please let <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> know about it. >From 8ded1e1a92daa96307e4b84b707fee5993bc6047 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 7 Jul 2015 18:16:15 +0100 Subject: ARM: 8401/1: perf: Set affinity for PPI based PMUs From: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> commit 8ded1e1a92daa96307e4b84b707fee5993bc6047 upstream. For PPI based PMUs, we bail out early in of_pmu_irq_cfg() without setting the PMU's supported_cpus bitmap. This causes the smp_call_function_any() in armv7_probe_num_events() to fail. Set the bitmap to be all CPUs so that we properly probe PMUs that use PPIs.
