THANK ODIN! Someone else with this problem!

I have seen the same thing repeatedly - sudden death with no backtrace
or anything, and have been trying to figure out what's going on.

However since I'm running with a whole bucket of custom patches
(bfs, bfq, btrfs, block, vfs..) I've been trying really hard to isolate
whether it's those or a subtle conflict in the 4.1.9 changes.
This definitely started with 4.1.9; 4.1.8 is still fine and rock solid.
