This is a note to let you know that I've just added the patch titled staging: vt6656: use free_netdev instead of kfree to my staging git tree which can be found at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/staging.git in the staging-linus branch. The patch will show up in the next release of the linux-next tree (usually sometime within the next 24 hours during the week.) The patch will hopefully also be merged in Linus's tree for the next -rc kernel release. If you have any questions about this process, please let me know. >From 0a438d5b381e2bdfd5e02d653bf46fcc878356e3 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Hema Prathaban <hemaklnce@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat, 11 May 2013 22:39:47 +0530 Subject: staging: vt6656: use free_netdev instead of kfree use free_netdev() instead of kfree(pDevice->apdev) Signed-off-by: Hema Prathaban <hemaklnce@xxxxxxxxx> Cc: stable <stable@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> --- drivers/staging/vt6656/hostap.c | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/drivers/staging/vt6656/hostap.c b/drivers/staging/vt6656/hostap.c index f4f1bf7..c699a30 100644 --- a/drivers/staging/vt6656/hostap.c +++ b/drivers/staging/vt6656/hostap.c @@ -133,7 +133,7 @@ static int hostap_disable_hostapd(struct vnt_private *pDevice, int rtnl_locked) DBG_PRT(MSG_LEVEL_DEBUG, KERN_INFO "%s: Netdevice %s unregistered\n", pDevice->dev->name, pDevice->apdev->name); } - kfree(pDevice->apdev); + free_netdev(pDevice->apdev); pDevice->apdev = NULL; pDevice->bEnable8021x = false; pDevice->bEnableHostWEP = false; -- 1.8.3.rc1.46.g4a27aed -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe stable" in the body of a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
